LinkedIn Series: #19

Updated

June 2025: Day 19 of treating my LinkedIn like a blog!

Good morning! I’m in the final stages of packing and prep for #RenderATL next week, where I’ll be EMCEEING one of the stages!
(Still can’t wrap my head around that.)

My suitcase is halfway packed, my speaker intros are halfway written… but the nerves are 100% there. 😅

I wanted to share some screenshots of the Tube Feed Tracker's analytics (a progressive web app I built to support the medical community, of which I am also a member). 💪 #medicalmom

The app has come a long way. It started as a quick tool for parents and nurses to calculate tube feed rates under pressure, especially when they needed to advocate for someone’s care.

While the original version (which used vanilla CSS and JavaScript) is still in use, I gave version 2.0 a major upgrade with Modern React for a faster, cleaner experience.

What began as a basic calculator now includes an AI-powered search that lets parents and nurses look up formula brands (the consumable kind!) and factor in caloric intake when planning feeds. 🤓 The app also stores calculation history locally until reset.

I’ve shared it with fellow medical moms and nurses, and their excitement has been such a motivator. ❤️

Right now, I’m tinkering with user profiles so data can be saved long-term. That way users can return to their past calculations, whether for meals, snacks, or, in Sebastian’s case, overnight feeds. I'm also working on making the experience a little more polished and enterprise-friendly, based on feedback, and adding some of the personal touches that matter most.

If I may brag for just a moment, a lot of folks have bookmarked the link, but I'm especially proud of how many organic searches it's getting! 🙌

Have a great weekend!
