# LinkedIn Series: #18

### Day 18 of treating LinkedIn like a blog (in order to get over the fear of posting). ❤️

Thinking back to where I was a year ago versus today is kind of crazy. I had purchased a ticket to RenderATL because it popped up in a search for educator-discounted tech conf tickets and I was finally ready to step out of my comfort zone. I knew exactly one friend that was going (that I had never even met IRL) ...but I did it. And at the risk of sounding incredibly dramatic, it was the beginning of who I am now.  
  
The relationships I strengthened, the people I met, the opportunities that have come from doing the dang thing. Though I am still trying to make the transition into tech (ahem cough cough), I am incredibly grateful for *every* experience because I know the sum of these parts will get me there eventually.  
  
Speaking of where I am now...  
  
From the scared little newb at the conf last year to a freakin' host! AHHHHH!  
  
It feels so big and full circle in comparison. ❤️  
I always say it and will probably never stop, but thank you so much to those of you who have believed in me and given me the chances to prove myself.
